The Five Pieces of Furniture You Should Buy New From Furniture Stores

If you are considering getting new furniture, perhaps you are thinking about ways you can save money. You might believe that you are getting a deal if you buy second-hand. However, there are some pieces you should only consider buying new from furniture stores.

A Dining Room Set Is the Heart of Your Home

Buying a brand new dining set ensures that you have a high-quality table and chairs. More than just for meal times, a dining room set is the heart of the home and family. As a place where you have everything from family talks to holiday meals, it provides an essential meeting place for your household. By purchasing a new set, you can ensure that it is in beautiful condition, and has enough space for everyone.

Mattress Sets Should Be Brought New for Safety and Cleanliness

This is perhaps an obvious choice, but purchasing a new mattress set from furniture stores is safer than buying used. This allows you to try out various mattresses based on firmness and size to fit your lifestyle. Buying brand new gives you peace of mind, since you will know that no one else has used the mattress, and you will know for sure it is clean and safe.

New Sectionals Offer the Best Comfort and Look for Your Home

Sectionals are becoming an attractive alternative to sofas. Since they can seat many individuals and form a circular shape, they are popular for watching TV or spending time as a group. Sectionals also offer features including reclining chairs and even foldout beds for overnight guests. When you opt to buy brand new, you will know that your living area is well equipped and functional. You will also be able to coordinate with the rest of your home and pick a color that matches your décor. If you choose leather, you will rest assured knowing that it won’t be scratched or torn up by overuse from a previous owner.

Buying A New Bedroom Makes Matching Easier

When you choose to purchase your bedroom set brand new, you have furniture that looks put together. It saves you the trouble of trying to mix and match your bed to your dresser. Furniture stores offer bedroom sets for both adults and children that can help you save time and money. If you can get everything you need from the same location, setting up your bedroom is quick and easy.

Having a Kitchen Set Allows You to Update Easily

While your appliances may be just right, you might want to update your breakfast bar or table with a low-key look. If you only need to get a couple of chairs or a few new barstools, buying new allows you to replace items that have had wear and tear without going over budget. You can even choose to buy one item and keep your others as you match to the correct color scheme.

While second-hand is a popular and money-saving option, certain items are better off brand new from furniture stores. Doing so promises a cleaner, more coordinated and stylish look for your home.

Is Everyone Capable Of Successfully Doing Work From Home?

Work from home or freelancing looks to be a great idea. Isn’t it? Many people think that working from home for any business, online job, or freelancing gives them more space and freedom. Definitely, it does. It has many advantages I’m going to discuss later, however, one must not disregard the demands and disadvantages of it also.

Advantages:

Let’s talk about both the positives and negatives of work from home:

Work according to your own schedule: This is perhaps the greatest advantage you have in home-based work. You can make a flexible schedule according to your comfort level. You start or stop work whenever you like. If you feel a bit need to have rest, you just shut down and take a break. Some people like to work in the late evening or night hours. They will be more than happy if they get a work at home opportunity. You can have lunch, dinner, tea, and coffee whenever you feel like to. Just relax, make your own timetable and work anytime or any length of hours round the clock. Manage time as you feel comfortable.

Be your own BOSS: Unlike office-based jobs, you don’t have a BOSS. No one will come to your desk to check whether you are working or not. No reporting to and scolding by BOSS at all. ‘No sword is hanging over the head’ is one of the most relaxing thoughts for many people. Therefore, no or less stress than office work.

Can be managed on weekends or part-time: Flexibility is one of the biggest advantages of work from home. If your work is not too much stretched out, you can manage it on weekends and as part-time along with a regular job. If you are working with a company that allows working as much as easily manageable, you must take the advantage of work from home. It would be a great source of making money, though may not be very highly paid. However, with a few hours of weekly working, you can make some extra bucks.

Decorate your office place as you like: Not only time, space is also yours in work from home. You can fix a corner for your table and computer system wherever you like. Decorate it with flowers, photos, colors and things of your choice. If and when need, you can change the place also. If your work is mostly computer-based, you can sit with your laptop on the lawn, roof-top, balcony etc. Not bound to a single space.

A lot of saving: When you join an office, you need to go to the job 5 days a week. You have to maintain a proper wardrobe as well as taking out a chunk of money for monthly transportation and food expenses. Sometimes, your office is located far away and reaching there is no less than a hassle. Or you have to rely on outside food which you don’t like. Some of the companies offer to give pick and drop and food for the employees for a reasonable cutting from their salary. But that way, they get a great facility. Wardrobe, transportation, and food expenses eat up a great portion of your paycheck. Work from home totally minuses the expenses of wardrobe and transportation. Then remains the food only which you enjoy in the form of home-made healthy and low-priced meals.

No frustrating co-workers or workplace issues: One of the biggest and stressful problems of office and a regular job is the presence of unpleasant and non-cooperative co-workers. Harassment is also a great workplace issue for females especially. Work from home saves you from these frustrating things which can have a negative effect on your health and career growth also.

Disadvantages:

Above were a few positives of work from home. Now, let’s have a look at negatives also:

Laziness: Work from home gives you the advantage of time flexibility but it also demands a great self-discipline. If you are lazy, you can’t meet the deadlines. You must have to make a timetable and set daily working hours to run it smoothly. Postponing the work for the next day will hurt your progress.

Working alone offers no competition: Presence of co-workers offers a competitive environment and motivates you to work better and better. Work at home has nothing like that. You are your own competitor there so performance comparison is also not involving. Competing with, and defeating your own self is not easy for everyone.

Providing a space at home: If you have plenty of space at home, well and good. But if you are living in a tight space, taking out a room for home-based work may be difficult. Additionally, you may have to tolerate the noise and disturbance by kids and family.

Lack of communication in-between the team: If you are working for a remote or out-of-country employer, you feel a lack of communication with other teammates and employers. Online meetings and chat can’t produce the results as the face-to-face and office-based jobs offer. Time difference between the countries also matters. You may need to wait for the meeting or chat for long hours.

Work ethics and culture: Ethics and culture matter a lot if you are working for an out-of-country employer. If an African is working for an American company, he/she may have to face cultural and behavioral issues. Some cultures don’t like to hear NO from the employees; some encourage to express their opinion. So work from home may also be stressful due to cultural differences.

So these are the positives as well as negatives involved in work from home. If you like it, you must keep all these aspects in mind. Take into account all the facets before plunging into home-based work. It is not suitable for everyone. If you are ready to take on and fulfill the demands of work from home, go ahead. If not, prefer an office based job instead.

Fitness Myths – Separating Fact From Fiction

Whether you are looking to drop 10-15 pounds of fat or add 10-15 pounds of lean muscle mass, it’s important to first come to grips with some of the biggest lies/myths in the fitness industry. Otherwise you may end up wasting your valuable time and could even damage your long-term health.

For starters, the myth/belief that muscle turns to fat is totally erroneous.

Myth 1:

Muscle never turns to fat.

They are two totally, separate types of tissue. Just as your heart is different from your liver and you wouldn’t worry that it could become your liver, your muscle cannot turn into fat. It would be like watching an apple convert to an orange right before your eyes. Not going to happen.

So, what does happen to someone who was once very muscular and fit but stops working out? If muscle does not turn to fat as many believe, then why does their once fit and trim body now appear fat, flabby and unhealthy?

The reality is much worse than turning to fat. Muscle is not being converted to fat, it is being lost. It is literally, wasting away.

Because the body uses a lot of energy maintaining lean muscle mass (which is why having more muscle is great for preventing fat gain), when the body believes it no longer needs to maintain muscle mass, it eliminates it. Whatever muscle mass is not being stressed (used), starts catabolizing (breaking down).

Muscles shrink from non-use and fat pockets grow bigger. Soon, what was once an attractive, trim, fit body now appears flabby and fat. It is really that simple.

Because muscle burns more calories than fat, whenever workout habits change or slow down, changes in diet must follow. If diets are not adjusted to align with a less active lifestyle, if food intake remains the same but total calorie expenditure decreases, guess what? The excess surplus of calories (that are no longer being burned through activity) gets converted into body fat.

It’s pretty simple science – when you exercise less, you burn fewer calories and therefore, you must eat less.

The good news is, it only takes about 60 minutes of strength training weekly at the gym (or your preferred strength training workout) to maintain muscle once it’s built. It takes far less effort to maintain muscle once it’s built than it did to build it in the first place.

Myth 2:

Exercising daily is optimal. Wrong.

Many people believe that if they fail to see the progress they are after, it’s because they are not training hard (or long) enough so they immediately start pushing their body harder which is the exact opposite of what should be happening.

Every time you train your muscles hard (at the gym or elsewhere), you are creating micro damage to the muscle tissue and time is needed for this to be rebuilt to withstand the same level of force once again. If the time and energy needed to do this is not provided, muscles won’t get stronger and in fact can cause loss of valuable muscle mass.

Reality – when actively working out, the body requires and needs rest days in a well-planned protocol to have the time needed to get stronger than it was before. Ideally, one day off a week should be allowed, if not two. But, even that is not hard science. Some people require more. In fact, three to four days rest for beginner trainees or those who do intense training is not at all uncommon.

Remember, as the intensity of your workouts go up, your total rest required to recover from that workout will also increase.

It’s very important to recognize when it’s time to work harder and when it’s time to rest. Understanding the difference and giving your body exactly what it needs is what gets you to that end goal.

Honor your workout, but balance it with rest.

Myth 3:

Cardio is a great way to get thinner – False.

Cardio – (referencing steady state cardio sessions) – the workouts that people dread yet do daily after hitting the gym. Jumping on a piece of cardio equipment and going at one pace for 20-60 minutes.

These workouts do very little for anyone. What these extended cardio workouts achieve is to increase the appetite, causing us to eat more. In fact, many people, who are classic “cardio bunnies,” report ravenous appetites that just won’t go away.

Cardio training can even cause loss of lean muscle mass. When the body knows it must go for long periods of time at a moderate intensity pace, it does what it can to be more efficient. Since muscle tissue is energy-intensive to maintain, it is better for your body if you have less of it.

Couple this with the fact that many are on a lower calorie diet while doing cardio and now you have a body ready and willing to drop lean muscle. So, fat is not really being lost in the process, but rather, lean muscle.

The body may appear smaller after months of cardio workouts because of lost weight, but, unfortunately, it is due to an unhealthy, change in body composition. The body now contains more fat mass in proportion to lean muscle mass and the result is not pretty. The look is soft, jiggly, and anything but fit.

If you’re looking to create a fit, lean, firm body, cardio training is not the way to get there. Strength training is the only thing empowered to reverse unhealthy, muscle loss.

How to Get to Wrigley Field From O’Hare Airport

When you are visiting Chicago, you’ve got to see the Cubs play a game. That means you need to know how to get to Wrigley Field. To do this, you can catch a cab, rent a car or hop on the train from O’Hare airport.

How to Get To Wrigley Field using Train to Bus Public Transportation

For the individual that wants to hop on a bus and avoid endless fees and parking, you are in luck. All you will need to do is to pick up a $6 CTA fare card at O’Hare. This will cover the full range of fees you will have for a round trip to and from the airport.

Head to Wrigley Field from O’Hare by taking the CTA Blue Line from O’Hare to Addison St. and then catch an eastbound 152 Addison bus.

How to Get to Wrigley Field by Train from O’Hare Airport

If you hate the bus, then the train is probably the next best choice. For this, you need to understand that you aren’t going to be able to just hop on and off a train and be done. To begin with, you need to catch the Blue Line when you are at O’Hare and take it downtown. You simply buy a transit card at the O’Hare CTA train station that can be purchased before you enter the CTA turnstiles. One way tickets are $1.50. Take the CTA Blue line train from O’Hare Airport to the Washington Street stop. Exit the train to the platform and look for the stairway that heads downward and directs you for passage to the Red Line. Head down the stairs until to get to the walkway and walk one block to the next stairway at the end of the tunnel. Proceed up the stairs one level to the Red line. On the platform, look for the northbound trains headed to Howard Street or Evanston. You will not go as far north as Howard Street or Evanston before getting off the train to go to Wrigley Field. Keep alert for the train to arrive at Addison Street and exit the train. You will only be a block from Wrigley at this point. Don’t worry about being the only person getting off here as the train will probably be mobbed with other fans going to the game as well if you are arriving within 1 – 2 hours of the first pitch. Just reverse the trip to get back to O’Hare. You can use the remaining balance on the same fare card.

How to Get to Wrigley Field by Vehicle

In the vehicle that you rented or own, you will leave the airport and take I-190 E and follow it as it turns into I-190 E / Kennedy Expressway East. Take this freeway until you reach Addison Street, which is exit 45 A. You are going to turn left onto W Addison Street and take this until you reach 1060 W Addison Street, which is Wrigley Field.

How to Get to Wrigley Field by Cab

Simply hail down a cab when you are at O’Hare Airport and tell the driver you are looking to get to Wrigley Field. It can be important to mention you want to do so using I-90 E and to use the Addison Street exit. This gives the illusion you are from the area and you are less likely to take a costly cab ride as you get the scenic view of the city.

No matter if you take a cab, bus, train or even a train from O’Hare Airport, you will be able to get there with these simple directions that will take you on the safest route possible.

9 Life Lessons From Snakes and Ladders Game

As I watched my two daughters play the traditional Indian game of “Snakes and Ladders“, I was realizing, at every step, that there was a striking similarity this game has with our life’s journey. There are so many lessons that this game can teach us, including how to go about executing the biggest game in our hands i.e. “our own life”.

Let me give you some background about the game just for those unfortunate souls who did not have the pleasure of playing this classic game during their childhood years, and then I will share how I look at this game from life’s perspective and what do I learn from it.

About the Game

Snakes and Ladders is a traditional Indian board game played in almost every household. Today, it is regarded as a worldwide classic. The historic version of this game was designed to teach moral lessons to the players and to show the game’s similarity to life and its teachings. A player’s progression up the board from 1 to 100 represented the journey of a life while the snakes and ladders represented the vices and virtues along the journey.

Here is my take on the learning from this game. Some of these learning were historically intended the way it is documented here, while most of them are based on my own personal experience in life’s journey thus far.

(1) Virtues and Vices

The game has been interpreted and used as a tool for teaching the effects of good deeds versus bad. The ladders represent virtues such as generosity, faith, and humility, while the snakes represented vices such as lust, anger, murder, and theft. As in life, the game shows that the number of ladders will always be less than the number of snakes as a reminder that a path of good is much more difficult to tread than a path of sins. In spite of this, stick to this,

(2) Life is Dual

One of the biggest implicit in the game is unchanging two-ness of things, the duality of up & down, good & evil, Alpha & Omega, Day & night, etc. Life is not meant to be a one sided affair. You will face both the good and bad times. You will face ups and downs. Just like ladders(ups) and snakes(downs), you will meet good and evil around you and you will also do both the right and the wrong things as you go through the beautiful journey of life. Life is dual. Accept it that way and you will be able to live much more happily. If today, things have not gone your way (you may have encountered more snakes), that is a part of the game. You must keep focus and move forward. You are likely to get hold of a ladder soon. Keep moving.

(3) Identify your Goal

The goal in the game is pre identified for you. It is very clear that to win, you need to reach 100. Those who have played the game might have realized that how focused we stay in the game to reach 100, in spite of getting any ladder or getting stung by any snake. Irrespective of what is happening to our competitor in the game, we continue to stay extremely focused to reach 100 defying all odds and not getting bogged down by any snake bites.

That is exactly how the bigger game (life) is supposed to be lived. First, you ought to define the goal of your life before you set out of your house to do anything else. This is the toughest thing for many people to do and most of us struggle till the end of our lives to find the goal of our life. I always recommend my readers to stop doing everything else before they have found the purpose of their lives. Living a life without a definite purpose is like playing the Snakes and Ladders game without knowing that your mission is to reach 100. All that you are doing in your life today is useless unless you have defined the purpose of your life.

If you are running hard in a vicious circle and are a part of the so called rat-race, and you are not sure that how would you find time to identify or pursue your true goals of life, you can adapt a process that I adapted a few years ago. First strive to get financially free doing what you are doing today. Post your financial freedom, you would have bought the time in your favor and then you can truly work towards your life goals. Make Financial Freedom as one of your biggest ladder in this game of life to reach your ultimate goals or pursue your passions of life.

(4) Keep your focus on the goal

Having once defined the purpose, align all your daily actions with the purpose of your life. You got to keep your focus on that end goal and that will drive your daily actions to make sure that they are aligned with the purpose. If you encounter things that you do everyday that are not aligned with the purpose of your life, start thinking and finding ways to eliminate them from your life slowly.

(5) Be humble but never give up.

Don’t look down on people who are less fortunate than you. Everything that you have with you today is temporary and can be destroyed within a fraction of a second. Be grateful with what you have. Likewise, when you fall down, don’t give up. Try again. Isn’t that exactly what you do when you fall in the game. You just look forward once again with renewed energy and fight back to the top. This is exactly how the life is supposed to be lived. Never Never never give up in life.

(6) Accept the outcome

Whatever the result (win or lose), accept it with grace. Do not be too elated in success and on the other hand, do not be demotivated in your failure. Everything is temporary and life is supposed to have a mix of both. That’s also the spirit of sportsmanship. Make losing a motivation, not an excuse not to play again. Convert your negative outcome into a positive energy to fight back again and reach the top.

(7) Have Patience

Patience is another virtue we can learn from this game. You may be down and out. You may be the last in the lot but if you keep patience and continue to do what is the right thing to do, you might soon be surprised at how quickly life can give back to you, exactly the way how it happens in this game. So, be patient, keep doing the right thing, do not get distracted, annoyed or demotivated. Life will take a turn… yet again. Give it a chance and continue to follow the right path.

(8) Keep Moving

At the end of the day, it’s not the number of ladders or snakes that you face in your life that will determine your fate. Has anyone won this game just because he or she got more number of ladders? No. Your future in the game of life is determined by one thing, and one thing only – “movement”. Just keep moving ever forward. Don’t stop at the foot of a snake and throw away the dice. Just keep moving. Get up again, and keep moving. You might like to pause for a moment to recharge the batteries, or even have a little cry, but then keep moving again. On the way learn from your mistakes or misfortunes – until you reach the finishing line as a seasoned victor.

(9) Enjoy Life

This is the biggest lesson of them all, according to me. Never be in too much of a hurry to reach the end of the game. Enjoy the lucky breaks, but realize that the steady patches and the snakes prevent us from getting to the end too quickly and add spice to our game. Enjoy your journey of this game, the twists and turns, the snakes and ladders equally. In the end, everyone will reach the end goal – sooner or later. Be a good player, making the most of all the journey brings. Enjoy and cherish every moment of life.

Getting Relevant Links From SEO Partnership

There is no doubt that inbound links are the most influential component when building a website’s authority – The higher the website authority the better it will rank with the search engines, especially goggle.

However natural and relevant link building is more important than getting irrelevant bad links. That’s why the best way to get back links to your website is by partnering with other websites with the same or related theme as yours; I am not talking about reciprocal links which are actually bad for your website’s rankings, instead having a partner website owner of the same or related theme as yours put a link to your website in one their content pages is where the value lies.

Goggle gives great value to a link from a content page in a website of the same theme as the websites being linked to. Links coming from a links page have little value since it is obviously the link building is artificial, but a link from a content page shows a true relationship of something of actual value.

Link building starts with great content

In response to a webmaster’s question on how to build links without building great content, Matt suggested that you need great content in order to build great links: “You do want to build great content, and building great content is often what brings you [organic] links.” Keep in mind:

You want to build really amazingly great content. If you want to outrank your competitors, start your efforts by publishing content that is way better than theirs.

Just publishing great content isn’t enough – you also need smart SEO, social, and promotion strategies to achieve success

Reciprocal Links

My inbox is constantly flooded with endless requests from webmasters requesting link exchange. To be clear: building an example.com/link.html pages will do nothing for your rankings. Google discounts these outbound links and seriously de-weights incoming links.

Cost/Benefit: Don’t engage in this strategy and don’t play the fool’s game of quickly unlinking to make them appear as one-way links; it’s another spammy signal that won’t get your far. Instead, develop relationships with other savvy webmasters and trade links deep within pages when there’s semantic relevance. News portals frequently sign these types of partnership deals.

Penalty Risk Level: Low.

Remember, link building is a constant growing process. One of the reasons to like link baiting is because it’s fun and creative. Find something you enjoy creating and use it as a method to drive incoming links. That way, link building will be a part of your daily routine, not another unrealistic marketing resolution.

Finding website owners to partner with that have websites in the same theme as yours is not always that simple. There is however a company that I partnered with who gave me access to the list of all their websites. They have a website for about every category you can think of, and they link to your website from their content pages. The really good part is that they are not a link building company at all, they are a software company that happens to have websites with content for all their product suits.

I asked them if I could write and share their partnership program with other SEOs and agreed to. Below is the link all of their websites you can partner with. You will probably find a relevant category for your website because they have over 100 product themes. I will however warn you that their partnership requirements are strict, but if you are honest about building a true partnership rather than doing quick link building, it is very worth. I got over 2000 relevant permanent links from them, all from very informative content pages.

All the categories can be found at:

Want To Get Unstuck From That Overweight Body?

Are you a person struggling with your weight? Do you start a diet plan only to give up shortly after and go back to your old eating habits? Do you really wish you could just lose the weight and keep it off but without the on-going frustration and struggle?

No-one could blame you from wanting to get unstuck from this situation. After all being overweight negatively influences all areas of your life. It limits your self-esteem and the way you feel about yourself and holds you back from living the life you want to live.

It is sometimes hard to understand and accept that it is your very own patterns of thinking and your own thoughts that are the reason and are at the ROOT of why you are still overweight.

The way you feel and think not only about yourself, but about your body, your weight, and also very importantly what you believe about nutrition, proper exercise and an overall healthy lifestyle… these are the root cause of your overweight issues.

Let’s think about it – some people never need to worry about food or their weight. They are just naturally slim, have never been overweight and never will be. The only difference between you and these people is in your attitude and mind-set – your beliefs and thoughts about YOU, about food, and exercise.

These naturally slim people that we envy simply think in a different way to many others – they do not crave sugary, fatty foods, they don’t overeat or see healthy food as a punishment. They also don’t see exercise as a chore either. They love to eat healthy foods, and they enjoy exercise and being active. Or they barely think about these things at all – they are just a normal part of their everyday lives.

It is because of these different ‘mind’ thought processes that they are naturally slim. How would you like to swap your ‘overweight’ thinking for ‘naturally slim’ thinking? Wouldn’t it be fantastic if you started to lose weight naturally, and if you managed to keep it off this time… forever?

How you can get out of that overweight body for good

Well you can. You just need to implement some simple tools and strategies to penetrate into your subconscious mind and seek out and destroy the negative beliefs and hidden patterns of thought that are acting like roadblocks in your mind. These are the thoughts and beliefs keeping you stuck in an overweight, unhealthy, unhappy body. Once we find them we replace them with more positive and more focused thoughts and feelings – the kinds shared by these naturally slim people that we would love to be like.

The good thing is once you embed these new belief and thought systems into your mind then your entire lifestyle will gradually start to change and improve. You will find yourself making better choices with food, eating less overall and you will enjoy exercise – all without struggle or having to try and force yourself to do these things.

The key to not only losing weight but keeping it off is in getting your mind working with you rather than against you. Once you have this you CANNOT NOT get that slim, fit, healthy, feel-good body that you would be so happy to live your life in. The slim body that you deserve and it all starts and ends with – change your mind – change your body – change your life.

What to Expect From Physical Therapy

Walking into a complex offering physical therapy can be somewhat daunting.  You can see a lot of unusual items set around the treatment room, along with more familiar exercise equipment.  If you are in pain from in illness or injury, some of the things you see may make you just a bit nervous.  If the therapists in this room are properly trained, you don’t need to be nervous at all.

The first thing that will be done after an assessment and before PT starts will be something to warm up the area to be worked on.  Heating pads are a good start, and they actually feel pretty good.  This warm up will help make your muscles and joints work better and less likely to be painful.  After your session, you may also have an ice pack, in order to reduce any inflammation the workout caused.  That, too, feels pretty good.

When the areas that need therapy are load bearing, aquatic therapy may be recommended.  This makes it a “no impact” session and provides resistance to help build up muscles faster.  This can also be done for problems in non-load bearing joints, if that is what the doctor thinks is best for you.  (Don’t worry if you can’t swim, most of these exercises are done in the shallow end of the pool, and they understand those of us who are afraid of large amounts of water.)

You can expect some sort of monitoring during PT.  If you are in it as part of cardiac rehab, this monitoring is especially important and may include leads that will show any rhythm problems and other abnormalities.  For injury related PT, it will probably be just watching and listening so as to avoid further damage.

If you feel pain, stop and tell the therapist.  You have probably been told to take something for pain half an hour before your session.  If not, ask.  The therapist may know it will be painful, so you may be given advance warning and other instructions.  Otherwise, it may be a sign that your body is not yet ready for the exercise given it.

There are usually two main goals of this sort of exercise.  One is to relieve pain and the other is to improve range of motion.  Both of these are done by a series of exercises that gradually build up stretch muscles, tendons and ligaments back close to their original length and to train the muscles to help the joints do the job.

You may notice some stiffness, both when doing the exercises and afterward.  This is normal at the beginning, but should improve as you go through the sessions your doctor ordered.  If not enough improvement is seen, you may be given a different type of PT.

Do expect your muscles to be tired.  If you have not exercised the muscles for any stretch of time prior to beginning, it will take time before they can handle the extra requirements being made of them.  This is different from muscle pain, which is also a possibility.

PT is an important tool that can help you recover from serious problems and get back to your normal routines.  It’s a good idea to talk to your doctor before, during and after going through the process. The doctor can then fine tune what you are doing so that you achieve that laudable goal.

Removing Tape From White Board

A white board is a glossy white surface where one can write with non permanent markers. It is also a good type of communication with other people in school, office, hospital, clinics or even at home. There are times that people post announcements on white boards. Most of the time people just tape the printed post on it so that it cannot be erased and if a not so good quality tape is used, the sticky part of it is left on the board in removing the tape. These stick part of the tape that is left on the board makes it dirty. Whenever you are to erase the writings on the surface, the black ink sticks to that part which makes it dirty.

There is a proper way of removing these sticky things that is left on the white boards. You cannot just wipe it all away just like in erasing or cleaning the surface. If you do not follow the proper step, you will just end up ruining the board itself. First you have to do in removing the tape is you have to remove it slowly with a pair of tweezers. This is to lessen the sticky part that will be left on the white board. After that, wipe the surface with a dry clean cloth or a soft tidy towel. You have to clean the writing area first so that the next steps will not leave a mess.

Now, after cleaning the white board, you can now apply the cooking spray on the areas where there are sticky part of the tapes are left. The cooking spray is a type of oil that is used to lubricate the tapes from the white boards. After applying the cooking spray, just leave it for a few minutes, usually one to two minutes. This is to let the lubricant adapt itself to the tape so that it can be easily removed. After leaving it for a few minutes, you can now wipe the sticky part away from the surface by using a cloth or towel soaked on warm water.

White boards also need maintenance. You have to keep it clean to make it more useful and functional. If there are cases like you have to post a printed announcement on the white board and you are not good in cleaning the tapes off of it, then it would be better if you use a good quality tape that does not leave a sticky mark. In this way, you only not keep it clean but you also saved yourself up from the maintenance of it. But in other cases, keep these steps a reminder for it may be useful in the future. You can also teach this to other people to keep them informed on what to do in situations like these. It is better to share something you know to someone who does not know anything about it because it makes improvement to them and also to you as a person.

What Can an Entrepreneur Learn From the NCAA Championships?

March Madness has again come and gone. Ending in a crescendo of applause and excitement that is rife with new opportunity for the players. The players can celebrate their new success and begin to look forward optimistically to whatever new challenges they will face next in their lives. Their success in basketball no doubt came from the hard work, determination, desire to overcome obstacles, risk taking and many other personal values needed to become a champion athlete. Who knows what new journey these athletes lives may take. Some will no doubt go on to find further basketball success in the NBA and begin lives as a professional athletes. Eventually however, they will all retire from basketball and move on to other endeavors. How will the values that made them champions help them later in life?

Most people have been involved with sports at some level (even if not at the NCAA Championship level) and therefore are able to understand the kind of effort it takes to succeed in sports. They recognize that an athlete may have natural talent but they also know how much work it takes to become a champion athlete. Hard work, determination, the desire to overcome obstacles, risk taking; these are the values it takes to become a champion and they are also the values it takes to succeed as an entrepreneur. Some athletes are able to carry these values over into their next career but others are never able to make the transition.

Likewise, there are people who think becoming a successful entrepreneur comes simply from being in the right place at the right time or because the entrepreneur happens to come from a well connected family. But most successful entrepreneurs, like successful athletes, would say success in business takes the same type of hard work, determination, the desire to overcome obstacles, and risk taking that you see in an athlete. Are there lessons we can learn from sports examples to learn how to apply these same values when applied to business.

We hear lots of sports success stories but they all seem to end once the championship game is over. Unfortunately, most sports stories are cliff hangers that leave us to wonder what the rest of the athletes life will be like. We don’t know whether the values that brought them to the championship was a onetime affair or if the athlete is able to transition these values into the next phase of his or her life with that same level of determination? What would happen if the story were to continue and we were able to follow the life of a champion athlete to see how he transitioned the values that led to his earlier success in sports into entrepreneurial values that brought similar success in business? If we were to look at the lives of one of these athletes, would we find lessons there that could help other non-athletes learn these same entrepreneurial values and understand how to apply them in their own lives?

One of the lessons we might learn comes from an athlete’s willingness to try over and over again. If they lose one game, they don’t quit but rather come back and work harder the next time. We know that athletes don’t usually compete in just a single event. In their sports career they compete in many tournaments and championship events. They apply the same values over and over to become serial champions in the same way serial entrepreneurs build winning businesses over and over. Successful entrepreneurs don’t quit just because one thing doesn’t work for them. They come back, apply what they’ve learned from the loss and then start over again.

Athletes know that overcoming obstacles is part of the game. If one play doesn’t work they continue to try another and another until they find a way to succeed. Successful entrepreneurs need to do the same thing when the obstacle to their success seems too great. Just like an athlete, “no” should not be an option. Successful entrepreneurs continue to search until they find the path to success. Entrepreneurs know that business is not a game and must also understand that winning means learning and applying these entrepreneurial values over and over.
