Generosity – As You Give, So Shall You Receive

There have been various arguments about generosity, but the most suitable place to look for information on the same is the Bible. This is the only book that teaches Christians how they ought to live and share what they have with their brothers and sisters. God’s teachings encourage everyone to give to the less fortunate. Generosity – As You Give, So Shall You Receive as the Holy Bible teaches the Christians.

The old and the new testaments talk about generosity as a culture among the Christians. This is a virtual every person who believes in Jesus Christ should have. As a matter of fact, preachers should teach the congregation about this very important virtue so that it can become a part of their lives. It should be practiced among the congregation so that it can have continuity. If fact, is has been there for very many years and it encourages love between the people of God.

You should know that everything belongs to God the almighty. Whether you have a lot of wealth or not. God gave you what you have and you should share it with your brothers who are in need. In Psalms 24:1 the bible says “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it.”; what does that tell you – this simply tells you that God not only owns everything that in this world, but also owns you since you are part of his creation as well. The only difference is that God gave man authority over everything in the world.

No man has authority over the other for in God’s eyes everybody is equal whether wealthy or not. One should not be proud. Always give thanks to the most high one. In the book of Deuteronomy 8:18 says”Remember the lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth” it is not by your own power that you are able to raise much wealth, but by the power and grace of the Lord.

The bible also states that the hand that gives shall receive twice as much. One should learn to give without expecting anything in return. God awards that abundantly and you will be amazed. You should not hold back giving out anything since even God himself offered his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross. That can be found in John 3:16. If God can give his son who he loved so much, who are you not to share whatever you have.

The Bible also tells the Christians not to be overwhelmed by the earthly wealth for it shall come to an end. You could get this from Mathew 6:19-21 if you let the earthly things control you, you are likely to lose track of the Christian ways. Even the Bible says nobody can attend to two masters at the same time. Keep these teachings about Generosity – As You Give, So Shall You Receive and you will see heaven. The teachings should be embraced to live a religions life.
