Altec Lansing InMotion IM600 Portable Speakers Review (With iPod Dock)

At 11 inches wide, 6 inches tall and just little under 2 inches thick, the Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 produces a lot of fantastic sound from a very compact unit. Pressing the spring-loaded release button on the front reveals the iPod dock, volume controls, power button, USB and several other connectors. The retractable antenna is located on the side of the device and can be pointed towards any direction to receive the best reception possible.

The Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 comes with a tiny remote control that can access most of the system functions and this includes four preset keys for the FM tuner. The FM presets only operate from the remote and a handy remote control slot that is located on the back panel. This speaker system comes with a sub-woofer output, video output, and a USB port.

On the top of the iM600, you’ll find the buttons for track shuffling which also doubles as FM scan control. There’s also the audio source selection for FM, iPod, or auxiliary input and the SFX control which activates the stereo enhancement mode. The controls are convenient to find, access and use. The Altec Lansing inMotion iM600 (with iPod dock) is a great audio system. It offers plenty of features for the money paid and can provide many hours of pure audio pleasure. It is a great no-frills, compact and easy to use system, perfect for those who are looking for a set of speakers to bring with them when they travel (and also for price-sensitive consumers).
